In the UK at least 30,000 dogs are destroyed every year due to a lack of homes. Here in the North-West we have one of the worst areas in the country.
As a group we have over 10 years experience in animal rescue work. From our own experiences we have learn't that neutering is the only way to combat this problem.
Our aim is to offer people on low incomes affordable neutering for their pets, including transport to and from the vets.
We are concentrating on the Sefton area but exceptions can be made in certain circumstances for other areas in Merseyside.
We will neuter dogs, rabbits, ferrets and other small animals. We will not be neutering cats as there are already schemes in place run by Freshfields Animal Rescue and the Cats Protection League. Please contact them for more information.
"Tilly is my first dog and like my baby! I didn't want to breed from her as I know how many dogs need homes already so neutering her made sense. I was worried because you don't like to think of your little girl having an operation. But after hearing about all the health benefits I knew I had to have her neutered. I couldn't bear the thought of her getting a serious womb infection later in life or mammary cancer and knowing that I could have prevented that. The service NAIS provided was brilliant. They picked her up, dropped her off and were so helpful. I'm on a low income and was worried I couldn't afford neutering at my own vet but NAIS was about a quarter of what my vet asked for! I will definitely recommend them to my friends!"

This park event has been organised by Sefton Council and NAIS have been asked along to offer discount microchipping (for only £5!) and promote responsible pet ownership, which includes neutering. If you would like to talk to us about neutering your pet at a discount rate then pop along to the park! There will be a fun dog show amongst other things to do. Come along and support
